The leading U.S. company Palomar has introduced the SlimLipo device and its unique technology called laser-assisted liposuction to the market, which enables firming and tightening of loose skin on various parts of the body with a laser. Moreover, it allows the correction of cellulite and permanent removal of underarm sweating. All this with minimal cuts, bruises, and bleeding, yet highly effective. SlimLipo is the first device for laser-assisted liposuction in the world that is approved by the U.S. FDA regulations.

 

SlimLipo offers a minimally invasive solution, it safely "melts" fat, it is less painful, it brings lasting aesthetic results and after the surgery you can return to your normal daily activities within one or two days. 

 

The SlimLipo technology uses thin, ONLY 1.5mm wide cannulas, which minimally disrupt the hypodermis, thus minimizing postoperative pain and recovery. 
 
Traditional liposuction uses a 4mm or wider metal suction cannula, which is unnecessarily large and and interferes with the hypodermis too much. Such large cannulas often destroy everything in their path. This leads to unintentional injury to the surrounding tissue, blood vessels, and nerves, resulting in significant post-operative pain, prolonged swelling, and bruising. According to comparative studies, SlimLipo has up to 88%  less postoperative complications and 79% less side effects in comparison with traditional methods of liposuction.

SlimLipo™ uses the wavelenghts of 924 nm and 975 nm for selective focus on fat and skin tissue for the most effective "melting" of fat and firming of the skin using laser-assisted lipolysis that is available today. A wavelength of of 924nm essentially dissolves the fat that is subsequently sucked out. Therefore, a much larger proportion of fat leaves the body in comparison with traditional liposuctions. The wavelength of 975nm stimulates fibrous connective fibers and starts a new production of collagen, which leads to significant tightening of the skin without cellulite. Thanks to this method SlimLipo fully replaces surgical procedures such as abdominoplasty or brachioplasty, which needed to be done in the case of large skin excess.
